This pretty Dressing Table was re-vamped using the Van Gogh Fossil Paint in Chivalry. The original Dressing Table was in a dark brown varnish and needed some light sanding in places. In general not much preparation is needed to apply the Fossil Paint. For this project the sand paper was lightly wiped around a few uneven sections of the surface and then the dust was cleaned off with a wet cloth before the paint was applied. Two coats were used thinly and the first coat was allowed to dry completely before the second was applied. Then finally the Van Gogh Fossil Paint finish 'Luminous Eye-Shadow' was sponged over the entire Dressing Table with a damp household sponge. We love this soft grey colour with the hint of gold sheen from the Luminous Eye-Shadow. The best thing about the Fossil Paint is that you can finish a project in one day without having to spend ages preparing your piece or waiting for the product to dry! :) Also the paint is all chalk and water based so it's really easy to clean your brushes afterwards.
