Brighton based Hannah Cole was born in rural North Devon, and her love for the area still has an unmistakably strong influence on her wonderfully charming seascapes. Hannah studied illustration in Brighton, and after graduating in 1994 decided to make it her home. She received commissions for numerous projects including greetings cards, children’s books, editorial and gift-wrap which gave her the confidence to begin exhibiting paintings at the Brighton Open House festival. Hannah has now been painting full time for over ten years, and her paintings sell like proverbial hotcakes.  She still visits the West Country regularly, invariably accompanied by her two children, camera and sketchpad.
